Resolved Question: Windows xp wont go past loading screen?
It every started when i downloaded adobe reader because before that i downloaded some pdf instruction manual files from the torq website, it turned out that i didnt have a pdf reader, so thats why i downloaded adobe reader. Then i realized i every ready had the pdf manuals for the torq digital dj mixer. So after downloading the adobe reader it gave me an adobe reader 9 installer file. I didnt want it in my home screen (the one with the apps and the youre background) so i moved it into the my difficult steer (local disk) labeled (C:). Everything was fine so i logged out normally. The next day (which is the day im typing this) i turned on the computer and still everything seemed normal then it went into the loading screen (the one with the black screen and windows xp on it with the moving blue bar) where it loaded and loaded and loaded and it never stoped loading. So i got sleepy and went into the safe mode with internet connection. So i reserched on google and found people with similar problems but A) i dont have the windows xp installer disc to reinstall windows xp, B) i went to add or remove programs and still couldnt find the windows xp app to uninstall, C) i tried to restore system in both safe modes and it said "System restore has been turned off and can not be turned on in safe mode, to turn on system restore, restart in normal mode and then run system restore again" but how if i cant even receive to normal mode. PLEASE HELP me every my files are in this computer and i cant afford to lose them because there really important, PLEASE!!!!!!!! THANK U
Resolved Question: What should I get to start DJing (for fun)?
I have a pretty deep interest in electronic music (mainly home and dubstep and some more experimental stuff) and I'm interested in getting some DJ equipment to start making mixes and producing beats. What is a good turntable/mixer/sampler setup to start with? I'm looking for a blend of flexibility and user-accessibility that won't break the bank (still paying for college!!)
Resolved Question: Is there a DJ software I can download that won't put me on trial?
I am sick and sleepy of getting dj software mixers where i have fun, but after 15 days or more it deletes itself and they want me to buy it. Is there any DJ mixing software that is free and won't put me on trial?
Resolved Question: Beat Mixer/Maker with built in beats?
I'm an amateur musician on several real instruments, but I really like listening to techno-like-songs, such as 3OH!3 and Basshunter and I've found that making them is a lot of fun too. I've been using Garage Band on the Macs at my school, but alas, I no longer have access to that as it's summer. I was wondering if there are any free programs similar to Garage Band for Windows with built in beats and sounds and such so I won't need to download a thousand sound packs just to receive the sounds and beats I want. If there isn't anything like this for free, which programs would be suitable for an amateur "dj" (I use that incredibly lightly) and how much would these cost? Thanks.

Resolved Question: How do I set up my dj midi controller to play through my speaker monitors?
I have the following equipment: Stanton SCS 3 system Laptop Heaphones Speaker Monitors I ultimately trying to receive the sound to arrive out of my speaker monitors but I know I am missing a few things. Would the speaker monitors need a pre-amp or could I just plug them into a behringer audio mixer? So I'm thinking it would be connected like this, but I'm not quite sure yet... Speaker monitors -> preamp-> mixer -> usb audio interface (i was thinking of getting an audio 2 dj)-> headphones would be attached to the interface -> the interface would be attached to the computer which would be running Traktor Pro and lastly the dj mixing gear (aka the Stanton SCS 3) would be hook up on the other usb port of the computer. Anything else I'm missing? Am I completely wrong?? they're not powered speakers, but now i'm thinking of getting my hands on a powered audio mixer so i can just hook it up that way...
Voting Question: How do I connect my 2 technic turntables in order to use them with virtual dj?
I have 2 technic direct steer turntables, an external mixer, and a mac book pro. How do I set everything up to work with virtual dj?
Voting Question: Virtual DJ.. Anyone with good ideas?
I'm tryinng to start DJing.. I did it with a cousin who already is a DJ and does home parties last week.. And I really like it. It's something fun and interesting.. especially since I've been practicing on virtual DJ for a few months now.. that's why he called me up to help him with the gig.. Now I've got people investing money in me to go buy equipment and become a DJ so I can make money and put myself through college.. I'm looking for a sound card, scratch board, and mixer. I don't know which one to buy though.. I've got my eyes on Hercules RMX.. it seems amazing and so simple to connect to Virtual DJ 6.0.5 are there any other ones that can give me the same efficiency as the RMX.. that include the effects, gain, master volume, loops, and the sound card to connect to a PA system?? I'm not looking for timecodes.. not right now at least.. I need something that is compatible with virtual DJ.. hercules RMX console can easily be hooked up to a laptop with a USB bus steer, and doesn't need an extra power cable.. it comes with Cd's that you install that makes it compatible with the virtual DJ.. it has two decks with two sets of effects and EQ's.. it's worth 350 US dollars.. But I'm looking to look if there is anything else out there that is just as good as the hercules RMX.. Numark obviously has good ones, but too expensive for me.. anything between 300-400 is good enough for me..

Voting Question: Please help me with my website ideas?
I'm 13. Over the summer, I want to start an online business. I have many ideas, but ive posted the two that struck me the most. I feel these are great ideas, but I'm not sure which one to pick. My goal would be to make six or more figures a year. I know that sounds crazy since I'm only 13, but it's my goal. I would adore to become financially independent. 1. My first idea is my favorite. It is a website where users can submit original songs, and other users can hear, rate, comment, share, and chat. There would also be features where users could post info and where bands could find new band members. I would make money from selling ad space, and maybe creating a pro membership with extra features if the site becomes big enough. Some problems I ran into when I was thinking on this idea was not having enough money to create the site. I thought it could cost $100,000 to have a web design firm create the site. Then i realized my cousin has been at RIT majoring in web design and programming for 2 years. I asked him, and he said he would be glad to build the site. Althoguh he may not be a professional, this site that he builds could be a "beta" launch, and money I make from it, I would reinvest into the site. My grandparents also called me yesterday saying they would adore to give me money for marketing. Idea 1 Overview Target Customer: musicians, artists, independent artists, songwriters, record producers. Revenue: ad space, pro membership Variable Costs: websit matinence, domain, hosting, marketing Type of business: online business, online company, internet business, Internet company, tiny business, service business, social network site, online community. 2. My second idea is quite simple. I would create a basic website with storefront capability, and sell musical instruments such as guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, dj, mixers, lighting. I would buy the products from a wholesale/dropship company. Vthey would dropship the items when I give them the order details. I would price competitively but price to make a nice profit. Target customer: musicians, bands, artists, guitarists, djs, keyboardists, record producers, drummers, bassists. Revenue: ads on site, selling products Costs: website, website matinence, domain, hosting, wholesale products, marketing Type of business: online business, retail, ecommerce. Idea 3. This would be a website where users can store photos and or data on a secure digital storage site. It would cost users 4.49 a month and they receive a certain amount of storage. My cousin would program the site. I would also have great security features for customers. This is a new idea and I know I would be competing with brands such as mozy, photo pail, etc, but I feel I can start tiny and build up a better brand name. Overall, I adore the first idea and the third.. Which idea should I do? Which idea is more profitable? Even if you don't like either, please pick the one of the over if you had to pick. I have been going to a Business Camp at my school and I like it.

I just purchased the Ion Discover DJ to use with my Apple Powerbook G4 and when I insert the disc and it comes to the time to drag the program into the applications menu it says that this version of software does not run on this computer. The provided disc has Mixvibes Cross LE 1.2.9 on it and says the requirements are OS X 10.4 or higher. It doesnt say anything about whether it has to be PowerPC or Intel processor which is what im guessing the problem is. any suggestions?

Open Question: Beginner Dj set-up help? scratch live 2.0 vs torq?
Hey there, im looking to receive into dj'ing more seriously, i am currently using virtual dj on my mac just for fun, but i am looking to go the next step and purchase a dj setup.. im looking to spend as least money as possible, although i have enough money to put into a good set-up (just dont feel like spending too much right now) .. i will be mainly mixing electro home, and anything closely related.. but i have a few questions.. i am a bit confused how to connect everything, and what is everything that i will need to complete my dj set-up? i will be playing the music from my laptop, and i was planning on using serato scratch live 2.0 or torq as my mixing software, which one should i go for? or please suggest other programs which might be better for me..I was also wondering if you could use any type/brand of turntables/mixers with the scratch live 2.0/ torq software? or do you need specific equipment to make it work... so which type of turntables/mixers/anything else i need for my set-up should i purchase? THANKS!

Voting Question: What do i need for House/Remix track production?
I've been DJ'ing for about a year and ive been doing gigs, mostly home parties and school dances (i'm 14 yrs old). I've been working with my laptop & M-Audio Xponent w/ Torq connected to a simple Pyle mixer that i connect to my two speakers. I've made about 1400 bucks but right now i have about 450 cause i had to pay my parents back for the laptop. I Feel like i need to invest in something that will make me more money on the side besides gigs so i wanna start getting into making albums and mixes and mixtapes. Since i cant really scratch on an Xponent (i'm saving up for Numark NS7) i wanna start making home/Trance tracks and other beats and instrumentals. I've made one mix, more of a mashup, on Mac's Garage Band software but that was pretty time consuming and difficult to work with. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXm6aGGgrlI) <-- if u wanna hear it haha..so yeah basically i wanna know whats best if i wanna make my possess tracks and remixes. i was looking at Novation Launchpad and it has really good reviews but i need second opinions..thanks in advance(:

Resolved Question: Playing Bass guitar along with CD but listening through headphones, How to listen to both through headphones?
What the best and CHEAPEST way to hear to a recording say on CD and play along with it on my bass guitar BUT listening to both through my headphones. I have got a old mixer I used to use in my DJing days. Its a mixer which use with decks if that helps. I've tried running my bass through the microphone input and getting some leads that go from microphone input to red and white outputs (sorry cant remember the correct terms so I'll just explain what they look like) but cant seem to hear either. Whould i have to use a studio type mixer to give my bass more power for the DJ mixer to hear it so to talk (my bass is passive). Would the cheapest option be to buy a programe for my Laptop which will be able to do this?
